🔶Data Availability & Consensus Layer (Txn Consensus)
Data availability is a critical component for achieving high scalability in the ME Network. It's responsible for receiving and storing execution layer business data, acting as the storage module for Rollup data to ensure transaction data availability, enabling anyone to access and verify data, thus ensuring "hard" security and consensus for the Execution Layer.
The Data Availability (DA) Layer focuses solely on ensuring the correct availability of transaction data, supporting fraud proofs, or assisting in asset tracing and loss mitigation during network attacks. It plays a vital role in the ME Network, offering an additional layer of information security without engaging in consensus maintenance or storing all transaction data, thus verifying transactions and proving their availability.
The DA layer possesses unique data distribution, data propagation channels, and storage capacity, which contribute to the efficient operation of the main chain (ME Hub), significantly enhancing ME Network's performance.
