Besides each validator node operator being able to choose to enable DA (Data Availability) node invocation services, non-validator node operators can also build and run DA nodes to obtain DA services.
Staking and Value Capture
DA, as a relatively independent function, sees its node earnings derived from the service fees of each DA invocation, obtained from Rollapp. Each DA node receives a share of the earnings according to its staking ratio. Thus, the incentives for the DA layer do not come from MEC mining earnings but purely from DA business income.
