π‘Why Web3.0 is Needed
The centralized internet has exposed a myriad of issues, such as data misuse, data fabrication, privacy breaches, and information monopolization. Blockchain technology, characterized by decentralized distributed ledgers, has facilitated the widespread use of cryptocurrencies, showcasing its natural advantages in reshaping trust mechanisms and promoting the transformation of production relationships.
Humanity's way of thinking about the future is also beginning to change, with attempts to construct various open-source ecosystems and applications for decentralized value circulation. Consequently, there is an urgent desire to create the next generation of the internetβWeb3.0. Web3.0 is regarded as the core foundation of the digital age, enabling the creation of a more secure, trustworthy, and efficient transparent internet, from financial transactions to global supply chain management, and from smart contracts to personal information protection.
Just as we envision, Web3.0 will give rise to a new global digital economy, creating new business models and markets, breaking the platform monopolies of giants like Google and Facebook, and generating a vast amount of bottom-up innovation. The cheap assaults on our privacy and freedom by enterprises/institutions, such as widespread data collection, censorship, and propaganda, will become more difficult.
However, to this day, the development of the Web3.0 industry has not reached the prosperous vision that people anticipated. It has not been able to empower more entities, nor has it formed genuine and valuable connections with the social relations of the real world. Instead, an increasing number of users have become victims of the proliferation of tokens.
